Nino Salvaggio's floral area includes a full service counter, flower buckets and well as general merchandise.Nino Salvaggio is currently looking for a Floral Associate for our Troy location.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Properly handle, stock, prepare and display all necessary products.
Assist customers with all orders and/or questions, per Company Customer Service guidelines.
Greet all customers and provide them prompt, courteous and excellent service and/or assistance, per Company Customer Service guidelines.
Process flowers per company guidelines while using floral cutters.
Wash floral buckets.
Understanding and knowledge of the quality standards, prices, varieties, preparation methods, etc. of the various products that are available in the department.
Handle any damaged and/or spoiled product according to Company and department guidelines and assist in controlling the level of damaged goods.
Answer phones and process and complete all customer orders and requests.
Ring up customers for floral items using cash register and maintaining accuracy of all cash transactions.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to work with all products and equipment available within the department including knives, box cutters, slicers*, bailers*, floral cutters*, etc. as needed in the department. (*Must be 18 years old to use slicers, bailers, floral cutters, etc.).
High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred, but not required.
Must be able to stand and/or walk for 8 or more hour periods.
Must be able to regularly bend, lift and/or move 25 pounds.
